IMPORTANT, UPCOMING EVENTS

1.	9/9: Open House

•	5:30 – 6:30 pm, BBQ and parents visiting classrooms freely during this time
•	6:30 – 7:00 pm, meeting with parents to discuss AYP and organization of our Parent Advisory

2.	9/15 – 9/17/10: NWEA Required Testing

•	For all 9th through 11th grade students, testing will take place from 8:00 – 9:00 am each day, followed by all slightly shortened classes; so school will still end at 3:15 pm.
•	Seniors will not be testing. On 9/15 and 9/16, from 8:00 - 9:00 am, they will meet with their senior advisors to go over college related material and vote on their class motto, song, and flower. On 9/17, they will not need to meet, but they can come to school by 9:00 am for their first period class.

3.	10/11 – 10/13/10: NMHSCE (New Mexico High School Competency Exam)

•	This is for students who have already taken the NMHSCE but have not passed every section. These students will test in a particular location (TBD), and everyone else will follow the regular schedule.

4.	10/16/10 (Saturday): PSAT required testing

•	This is required for all 10th grade students (cost is free), and it is highly recommended for all 11th grade students (cost is $13).
Sophomores are expected to attend, and interested juniors just need to see Ms. Reeder for registration and for any concerns about cost. Parents can also email her at kristin.reeder@datacharter.org.
