Data parents and students,
As the 2019-20 school comes to a close, we wanted to thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation these last few weeks. We know that the situation was not ideal, but we thank faculty, parents and students for making the best of this difficult situation.
For weeks now, we have been engaging in the process of developing possible contingency plans for fall of 2020. As I am sure you have heard, many schools are looking at three possible scenarios; all students return to school, all students remain in distance learning or a hybrid of the two. The scenario schools choose to adopt will rely heavily on recommendations from the CDC and New Mexico Department of Health regarding required PPE, social distancing, sanitizing procedures, and group size gatherings.
New Mexico Public Education Department is to release guidance on this within the next two weeks. DATA is an APS charter and we receive weekly updates regarding district progress as well. Once we know what APS is recommending for the fall, DATA will take their decision into consideration.
If you have any questions, concerns or would just like to offer some feedback, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you and be safe.
