DATA families, as I mentioned in our previous communication, we had started remodeling and renovations in many classrooms with the understanding we would remain virtual for the remainder of this school year. We conducted our official walkthrough and it was agreed that we will have to delay our opening. We have been working with our contractors to meet the April 6th deadline for completion, but unfortunately due to delays in receiving materials and the unforeseen obstacles that occur with any remodeling project, we will not be able to offer in-person learning at this time. Our new anticipated re-opening will be April 26th.

I apologize for this delay and hope you understand that the safety of our students and staff is a priority. Currently many hallways are full of furniture, supplies and equipment that could pose a hazard to students as they navigate through the school and especially if we need to evacuate the building in an orderly and efficient manner. We will keep you updated as to our progress and should we be able to open sooner, will let you know.

Our COVID practices and procedures are in place and ready to be implemented when we return, this is truly about our current available space and safety of faculty and students.

We will have our Coffee with Administrators this Friday from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and encourage you to join us to discuss this situation and answer any questions you may have. The link is below. Again, I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate through these unpredictable times.
