Hello DATA Families,

We are so happy that it’s February!  January crawled by, but the rest of the semester is going to fly as we rapidly approach graduation and the end of the 24-25 school year.  We have many things planned this semester, including another student art expo put on by our CTE Department, cross-curricular participation between our math and elective departments in the New Mexico Hyperspace Challenge (https://www.bizjournals.com/albuquerque/inno/stories/news/2024/01/25/hyperspace-challenge-project-sos-art-competition.html?fbclid=IwAR2GToPsH6yELmLcfOqLCQuf3CvvVvLJTsoVLo-376MA7zu0vHEx-gBn0mI) and Prom.  We have a lot of information in this newsletter so please read to the end!

Recommitment Form

It’s time to fill out your intent to return to DATA next year.  The deadline to fill out this form is March 1st, so please do this ASAP.  If we do not hear from you by the deadline, your child risks losing their spot at DATA (which we don’t want!)

Early Pick-Up

A friendly reminder that parents/guardians picking up their child early need to come into the building to sign them out.  If your child drives to school and needs to leave early, please email attendance@datacharter.org to let us know you’re allowing them to leave early.

Career Enrichment Center

Next Friday the 16th, during advisory (8:20 to 8:50) Ms. Reeder will be hosting an informational session on taking courses at the Career Enrichment Center.  Students take their core classes at DATA and their electives at CEC.  It’s a great opportunity for students to learn a trade, a foreign language, and more.  Feel free to check out CEC’s course offerings here: https://cec.aps.edu/cec/welcome-to-cec/
