Hello DATA Families!

We can’t believe it’s already March.  Don’t forget to spring back this weekend.  We’re looking forward to more daylight!  An email was sent out Tuesday to parents of seniors with important dates and deadlines.  Please let me know if you didn’t receive it and I’ll make sure to forward it to you.  The end of the year is going to fly by, so please make sure you’re keeping informed about your child’s grades and attendance.  The last round of parent conferences is May 3rd.  Your child’s advisor will reach out to you to schedule this meeting.

Mr. McHaley’s engineering class is competing in the Enlightened Challenge through the Air Force Research Lab.  More information can be found here:  https://cec-code-lab.aps.edu/afrlchallenge/.  Good luck to his students!

Congratulations to our Boys Basketball Team who won the Championship game against Albuquerque Aviation last night.  We are proud to be a part of the Albuquerque Charter League and provide opportunities for our students to play sports at DATA.

KRQE News will be coming out next week to interview Ms. Godfrey, Ms. Reynolds, and their students about their participation in the Hyperspace Challenge through the Air Force Research Labs: (https://www.bizjournals.com/albuquerque/inno/stories/news/2024/01/25/hyperspace-challenge-project-sos-art-competition.html?fbclid=IwAR2GToPsH6yELmLcfOqLCQuf3CvvVvLJTsoVLo-376MA7zu0vHEx-gBn0mI)  We will send out a link to the interview when we get it!

Reporting Absences

If your student needs to miss school for any reason, please email attendance@datacharter.org to report their absence.  If we don’t hear from a parent or guardian, their absence is unexcused for the day.
