Here at Digital Arts and Technology Academy, building connections with our students and joining them for the journey through graduation is a priority of ours. Our great DATA staff will advise a group of students from the same grade throughout their time at DATA Charter. We have created a strong curriculum and advisories meet regularly during the week. This allows us time to check in and work on some social emotional learning and growth and help prepare our students for a successful day.
Our class advisors also participate in planning class events, contacting parents, helping with academic needs and gathering resources for their advisees’ families as needed.
The DATA Special Education program is uniquely designed to assist high school students with special needs achieve a higher level of personal success and self-sufficiency than is normally available in other schools, due to our low student-to-teacher ratio. This department at DATA works hard to provide clear communication with families and students regarding IEP’s, 504’s, and more. Our special education coordinators are licensed professionals with experience in inclusive environments. To learn more about this department, please visit their department page here.
Here at DATA Charter School, we have a team of professional licensed counselors and social workers that work with students in grades 7 through 12. They assist families in finding resources, students with their academics and transcript work. To learn more or see specific forms for the Counselors such as schedule changes, scheduling appointments, and more, please visit the Counseling Resources page.
